Hello Maureen! To begin, could you please introduce yourself and provide some insights into your educational and professional background?
I’m Maureen and have been a nurse since the 1980s. I have had the privilege of working in many overseas countries, from Australia to the United States to the Middle East and some countries in between.
I completed my Master’s from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) and have worked my way up to become a director of nursing and associate executive.
How did you first hear about DataFlow?
I first heard about DataFlow in 2016 when the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) was overhauling its system. Though I had not engaged in it personally at this time, many nurses coming to Saudi Arabia, especially nurses from India and the Philippines had to complete DataFlow before they arrived or had to complete it within six months of arrival.
What led you to choose DataFlow to fulfill your verification requirements?
My introduction to DataFlow came about through my experiences in verifying my documents for NHRA, in Bahrain.
Initially, I started my verification process through another company for a position in Bahrain but due to delays, I accepted an offer in Saudi Arabia. Since I had already paid and started my verification process, my recruitment company assured me that my verification records could be transferred from NHRA to SCFHS.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. After waiting for several weeks to complete the verification process with NHRA, the recruitment company informed me that the verification company I had chosen didn’t provide a report transfer service between regulators (NHRA to SCFHS). This setback resulted in a two-month delay in my employment process, and it was during this time that I got in touch with DataFlow.
What other issues arose due to the delay in obtaining verifications from your previous verification company beyond the stress and uncertainty it caused?
In this age of technology, one would expect these procedures to be straightforward, given the readily available information. However, it was an immensely stressful situation. Unfortunately, it seemed they didn’t prioritize the quality of service they advertised. I paid nearly 500 euros for their services, but I had to take matters into my own hands. I had to proactively contact universities here in Ireland on their behalf because they weren’t doing their part. Without my intervention, I might still be waiting for them. I did not have a choice of companies, so there was no competition.
I was simultaneously juggling my work commitments here in Ireland and trying to make arrangements for my imminent departure – I needed to have a clear timeline to plan accordingly. Additionally, the delay resulted in a significant loss of income, as those two months could have been spent working in Saudi Arabia.
When you invest your hard-earned money in a service, you expect it to be delivered efficiently. It’s not merely about receiving the service; it’s about receiving it with the quality and professionalism that applicants deserve.

Absolutely! Once my documents were submitted to the Saudi DataFlow authorities, I received the results within a week and a half.
The process was accompanied by regular updates. I must say, the experience with DataFlow was like night and day compared to my previous encounter.
This time around, everything was remarkably smooth and user-friendly. The communication was seamless, with frequent updates. They kept me in the loop every step of the way, sometimes even daily. It was truly a wonderful experience.
