Oman Medical Specialty Board is an autonomous body furthering the growth of human resources for health through the development of specialized physicians and the assurance of healthcare professionals’ competencies for a healthier and happier community.

Who needs an OMSB equivalency?

All healthcare professionals who have qualified and gained experience outside of Oman must verify their credentials in order to obtain an OMSB equivalency. This includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied healthcare staff.

How can DataFlow help?

DataFlow is a leading global provider of specialized Primary Source Verification (PSV) solutions, background screening and immigration services. Since 2012, OMSB has leveraged DataFlow’s PSV solutions to screen the credentials of healthcare professionals practising in the Sultanate of Oman, ensuring the competence and accuracy of applications.

DataFlow makes it easier and faster to verify your qualifications and experience, helping you to obtain a work permit or health license more efficiently through a streamlined recruiting process.

Why is it important for your qualifications and experience to be verified?

DataFlow works with partners all over the world to ensure the information included in applications is true and demonstrates the applicant’s competence. Unfortunately, it is possible for applicants to access fraudulent certificates and documents, which put the community at risk from unqualified professionals.

DataFlow, in partnership with OMSB, conducts verification of credentials, helping to mitigate the risks associated with fraudulent applications into critical sectors, benefiting employers, applicants and the community.

How do you apply for an OMSB Equivalency?

DataFlow makes it quick and easy to apply for PSV. Simply visit http://www.dfomsb.com/ and complete the application form. Ensure you have copies of the documents listed in the next section before you start, and you can complete the application in minutes.

If you don’t already have an account with DataFlow, you will need to create a username and password. Existing users can access the portal using their usernames and passwords. Add your personal, education, employment and health license details before uploading your documents. Once you have reviewed your application, move onto payment. It’s as easy as that!

Upon receipt of payment, your application will be verified within 25 working days in most cases. Be careful to complete the process accurately and carefully, or this may lead to delays.

Once your PSV application is completed, DataFlow will share the final report with OMSB, and you will be contacted directly by OMSB regarding your application.

To complete the PSV process, applicants will need to have the following documents:

  1. Signed Letter of Authorisation –
